Through working as a Production and Styling Assistant in end-to-end content creation and working at one of the biggest retailers in South Africa in womenswear as a Fashion Buyer’s Assistant, I have gained strong communication, project management, time management, organisational and team work skills. Currently a Freelance Product and Styling Assistant, I am a hard-working creative who thrives in an evolving, collaborative and high stress environment with my calm, organised and positive nature. As a Buyer’s Assistant I was responsible for and manage contracts, samples with marketing, instore, market research, assist in range building, online and trade, the critical path from concept to products in stores, and day-to-day administration to assist the buyer in the smooth running of the business.

I am naturally an inquisitive person who is not afraid to venture beyond my comfort zone and is always suggesting new ideas to streamline the business and help the team. I initiate the next steps in projects to help lead and assist the team to reach the team’s goals and as we say in South Africa ‘use my kop’. I enjoy cultivating new skills and researching how I can personally grow as well as help grow the team. I do my best to add value to any environment. I have learnt to think quickly on my feet and be decisive in an ever-changing environment.

I work well under pressure and strive to deliver excellence with my high attention to detail and resilience. I am an independent thinker who loves problem-solving and I am flexible and supportive in my approach as a team player with strong collaborative leadership skills. Coming from a big family of 4 siblings, I am big on family and perceptive in my approach to people and team work. I enjoy working and engaging with people from different background and cultures as we each challenge one another’s way of thinking and help each other grow. I bring great energy and enthusiasm in project management whilst being known for my calm nature in high stress environments. Every challenge provides an opportunity. I am looking to push boundaries and challenge myself whilst I grow further into my career in the fashion industry whilst expanding on my styling and project management skills.
